Tool & Die Equipment Appraisals

Appraisals for General Purpose Equipment and Specialized Machines

Tool and die makers are highly skilled workers in the manufacturing industry, automotive tool and die industry. Tool and die makers produce jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, machine tools, cutting tools (such as milling cutters and form tools), gauges, and other tools used in the manufacturing process. Tool and die makers are also known as tool maker, die maker, mold maker, and tool fitter.

Most of the equipment is general purpose saws, mills, lathes, CNC tuning centers and machining centers. This equipment is used in many different industries and applications and tends to be easily appraised and absorbed into the used equipment market. Due to the lower demand for dies (used in stamping), molds (used in plastic forming and foundries), many pieces of used tool and die equipment are avaliable and still represent a surplus in the used equipment market.
